Taste of Peru and Quipunet put together "La Quinoa del Peru,"
a fundraiser event with the purpose of educating people about Quinoa and at the same time raising funds to help less fortunate
children in Peru. Items in the menu included:
Ceviche, Tiradito de Aji Amarillo, Tiradito de Rocoto,
Seco de Cabrito with Peruvian Beans and Rice, Aji de Gallina, Vegetarian, Chicken, and Pork Tamales, Shrimp and Salmon Causa,
Peruvian Salads, Alfajores, Mazamorra de Quinua, Cocktail de Quinoa, and Guizo de Quinoa.
All donations were
applied towards different projects organized by Quipunet, a non-profit organization made up of Peruvians and friends of Peru residing all over the world.
